Use two tablespoons of powder per cup of water. The blue scoop sent with the packet holds 2 tablespoons. Use 2 scoopfuls for a standard 20 ounce bottle. Stir to dissolve. It will dissolve faster in warm water than in cold. Use a non-metallic container such as a screw-top bottle. refrigerate any unused portion. It should be good for a week. The powder will keep for years provided it is kept dry.
Use During an Event or Training Session
Drink 4-8 fluid ounces every 15 to 20 minutes. It's better to drink small amounts frequently than a large amount only when you feel thirsty. Do not wait to drink until feel thirsty! The sense of thirst is too slow to signal a need for more fluids. Drink regularly from the start of your session to avoid dehydration.
If you are using more than one bottle per session, you can pre-mix a volume and draw from it when you reach a water source. Nalgene bottles, sold at sporting/outdoor shops work well.
